A SPECIAL 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY {SYDNEY CHILD PHOTOGRAPHY, SYDNEY LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHER}

A few weeks ago I was contacted by Renee who was organising a spectacular rainbow pinwheel themed 1st birthday party for her daughter Layla. We had an anxious week while we watched the weather radar continuosly and then despite weeks of rain, Sydney delivered and the day of Layla’s birthday party dawned with clear skies and lots of sunshine!

Renee spared no detail arranging this beautiful party for her precious daughter. Everything had been carefully thought of and considered for her guests. She had even handmade beautiful tutu’s for the little girls and a stunning outfit for the birthday girl!

The children were treated to a lolly buffet and a petting zoo which was a huge hit with children of all ages.

It was a very special day and lovely to see so many family and friends celebrating Layla’s important milestone!

A SUPRISE FAMILY PORTRAIT SESSION {SYDNEY LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHER, SYDNEY FAMILY PORTRAITS}

This gorgeous family are friends through our rugby club, its been a pleasure getting to know them this year and I was honoured when Bec asked if I could do a family session as a suprise for Tony.

He was an excellent sport despite the early hour of our photoshoot and Tony’s gorgeous children made my job really easy!

I really enjoyed capturing the clear love and affection this new family have for each other.

This session really didn’t feel like work, in fact it felt a lot more like just hanging out at a lovely park with friends, thats when I know that I am so lucky to do what I love.

Thank you Bec and Tony, I hope you love your images as much as I do!

FAMILY PORTRAITS BY THE WATERSIDE {SYDNEY LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHY}

This gorgeous family are close friends of ours and I was thrilled when they asked me to capture some family portraits while the grandparents were visiting from the UK.

We spent a fun few hours running around in the shallows and enjoying the beautiful Australian sunshine. I know these photographs will invoke lots of lovely memories back in England!

I have found myself wanting to extend myself more and more during my photography sessions lately and something I have not been very good at is connecting with the grown-ups I photograph. I have spent a long time working on my techniques for getting children to relax and smile in front of my camera and so now I am trying to make a few minutes each session to try and connect with the adults. This has to be one of my most favourite photographs recently. They are such a beautiful couple, wonderful parents and great friends of ours, I think this photograph really captures something special, just like their relationship.
